Chichén Itzá, the most celebrated Mayan sanctuary city, served as the political and monetary focal point of the Mayan human progress. Its different structures – the pyramid of Kukulkan, the Temple of Chac Mool, the Hall of the Thousand Pillars, and the Playing Field of the Prisoners – can in any case be seen today and are definite of an uncommon responsibility to building space and organization. The pyramid itself was the last, and apparently the best, of all Mayan sanctuaries.
